Micromorphologic examinations of sediments mainly base on the analysis and interpretation of microscopic specimen. They contain the record of changes in the environment connected with the moulding of soils; at the same time they are evidence for the evolution of the climatic and vegetative conditions. The micromorphologic record logs also the changes in the terrain relief. At the time when the camp was used, the climatic conditions were comparatively adverse. The natural environment resembled contemporary tundra with frozen ground and dominating graminaceous vegetation.
